Introduction: Tuberculosis is considered the most important infectious disease in the world, despite the efforts that have been invested to control it. It is produced by the mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. The most affected organs are the lungs, although it can have extrapulmonary repercussions.
Objective: To report the case of a patient diagnosed with miliary tuberculosis through post-bronchoscopy sputum.
Clinical case report: The case of a patient diagnosed with miliary tuberculosis is reported. This patient underwent diagnostic bronchoscopy and bronchial lavage for acid-alcohol-resistant bacillus (ABB), which was negative. The diagnosis was obtained by postbronchoscopy ARB sputum.
Conclusions: Post-bronchoscopy sputum is an option, with adequate profitability in the diagnosis of this infectious disease.
