Enantafo de noretisterona (EN-NET): modificaciones lipídicas en mujeres normopeso y obesas después de un año de tratamiento
Abstract
Se estudiaron 42 mujeres sanas, 28 normopeso y 14 obesas, en edades comprendidas entre 21 y 40 años. Todas recibieron tratamiento contraceptivo con enantato de noretisterona en dosis de 200 mg por vía intramuscular cada dos meses por un período de un año. Se les realizó determinación de colesterol, triglicéridps, LDL colesterol y HDL colesterol, antes de iniciar el tratamiento y a los 4.8 y 12 meses, se comprobó como única alteración del metabolismo lipídico una disminución de los niveles de HDL colesterol al cabo de un año de tratamiento, independiente del peso corporal. Se considero que el factor obesidad no explica por sí solo este hallazgo y que deben buscarse otras causas patogénicas. Este estudio permite señalar que este preparado no debe ser utilizado en mujeres que presenten factores de riesgo vascular, por su efecto adverso sobre los niveles de HDL colesterol.Downloads
