Variables clínicas de pronóstico individual en el cáncer mamario

Abstract

Se informa que el estudio del pronóstico individual en las pacientes que presentan cáncer mamario es uno de los problemas de mayor actualidad en las investigaciones en esta especialidad. Se estudian en este trabajo 155 pacientes operadas de cáncer de mama en el IOR desde 1972 a 1977. Se subdividen estas pacientes en grupos de acuerdo con su etapa clínica (I y II), según la presencia de ciertos criterios de hormono-dependencia como: la edad, el status menopáusico, la edad de la menopausia, la nuliparidad, etc., con el objetivo de evaluar en estos grupos, las curvas de intervalo libre de enfermedad obtenidas mediante el método actuarial. Se encontró en las comparaciones realizadas que en todos los casos la evolución a 5 años fue mejor en los grupos que presentaban más criterios de hormono-dependencia.
