Prevalencia de la obesidad en un área de salud urbana

Abstract

Se estudia por primera vez en Cuba, la prevalencia de la obesidad en un área da salud. El trabajo se realizó en el área de salud del policlínico “Ramón González Coro”, Regional Marianao, Ciudad de La Habana, encontrándose una cifra de 27,25%, Se encontró frecuencia de obesidad en el sexo femenino, con promedio entre los 50-59 años. Se informan las cifras de presión arterial, glicemia, colesterol, triglicéridos y lípldos totales y se analizan estadísticamente en relación con tipo y grado de obesidad. Se enuncia una hipótesis acerca de la diferente repercusión que pudiera producirse en el organismo según el tipo de obesidad.
