Edema cerebral agudo en un diabético durante una hipoglicemia insulínica
Abstract
Se presenta el caso de una paciente diabética insulino-dependiente, que durante la evolución de una hipoglicemia presentó un edema cerebral, el cual fue sospechado por el tiempo en que se mantuvo sin recibir tratamiento adecuado, y que fue resuelto satisfactoriamente con solución hipertónica de glucosa. Se revisa la patogenia y el tratamiento del edema cerebral y se exponen los mecanismos capaces de producir éste cuadro clínico durante una hipoglicemia. Se recomienda la búsqueda activa para hacer el diagnóstico precoz de esta grave complicación.Downloads
