Respuesta al tratamiento con COOP en la enfermedad de Hodgkin

Abstract

Se presentan los resultados obtenidos con la cuádruple combinación: ciclofosfamida-vin- cristina (oncovín)-procarbazina-prednisona (COOP) en 22 pacientes, adultos y niños. Se obtuvieron remisiones completas inmediatas en el 72,7% de los pacientes; con respuesta a la combinación en el 96,4% de ellos. Al año de completado el tratamiento cíclico programado, el 46,7% de los pacientes en riesgo se mantenían vivos y sin signos de actividad tumoral. La diferencia entre la respuesta de los pacientes con tratamiento previo, y los que no habían recibido tratamiento, así como la que existe entre la respuesta en los niños con respecto a la de los adultos, no son significativas. Las principales complicaciones fueron: leucopenia, alopecia, náuseas, vómitos y alteraciones pares- tésicas.
